Personal utility / Google Drive

orange_sync

A private file synchronization utility for keeping the owner's research and project files on designated personal computers and Google Drive.

Operated by Sidney Sun Xu. This application is for the owner's personal use and does not offer public account registration.

What it does

orange_sync uses rclone to compare file information, upload new or changed files, and verify transfers. Synchronization jobs run on the owner's computers, using destinations and rules configured by the owner.

Why it requests Drive access

Google OAuth authorizes the utility to work with existing Drive folders and their files. The requested Drive permission allows reading, creating, updating, and deleting files; each job's configured rules determine the operations performed.

Your account and your files

Authorization is completed with Google. Files remain in the owner's local storage and Google Drive; this website does not receive the files or OAuth tokens. Publishing this application information does not make those files public.

See the orange_sync privacy policy for data access, storage, retention, and how to revoke access.
